FROM (2022)
I LOVE THIS. It is so chaotic and all over the place. A family got lost on a road trip only to discover they've entered a village they can no longer leave. And then things start to go wrong, one after another. A lot of stranger things vibes.
The Strain (2014)
-It's about vampires- I'm on the third season at the time of writing this. It's not your classical dracula story (not that I'm familiar with one). I really like Professor Abraham Setrakian. And bruh for some reason they changed the kid in the second season and bro is just pure brainrot dumb. Writers did a very bad job with his character and just using him as a plot driver. But other than him, yeah stuff's pretty good.
Grimm (2011)
Very nostalgic for me. Me and my fam binge watched this for weeks. It's about a guy who discovers he is part of an ancient bloodline capable of seeing the unseen. And it is his duty to hunt down entities hiding beneath human faces. It was weirdly cozy.
The Walking Dead (2010)
Who doesn't love the walking dead? I've watched upto season 9 (I think?) and it was a ride. I hate the governor but Negan? He's probably one of my favorite characters. I'm not saying he's a good guy, but definitely well written. Other than that I just love the genre, anything zombie.
The Faculty (1998)
Not gonna lie, it was a bit goofy. Maybe because it was old, but I'm probably gonna rewatch it several times over the next coming years. A group of students discover an ongoing -silent- alien invasion taking place. Fun watch.
The Thing (2011)
A group of scientists and researchers find an unknown beast trapped under the ice. It's a remake of the original 1982 release. Lowkey Among Us vibes, worth rewatching.
Bullet Train (2022)
One of my favorite movies. This is so insanely goofy and dumb.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
It's a sitcom involving the lives of several colleagues within a police department. At the center of it we have Jake Peralta and you can really see the character development over the seasons. At one point it made me think it must be really liberating to be a master of your craft, to be exceptionally good at something.
how i met your mother
What can I say, I hate all of them. Every single character in the show, absolutely pathetic and shameless. Okay maybe Marshall is a bit more normal but definitely every one of them are full of problems that would drain the life out of me if I ever met them. But yeah still a fun watch cuz they're funny. Lots of life lessons though yeah.
Stranger Things (2016)
It's stranger things.
Wayne (2019)
It's not connected to batman or anything. But like, if there was batman, and he was a kid, and autistic, that'd be Wayne.
L I F E (2017)
Holy shit this one was good. They find an alien cell on a planet and decide to study it within the space station due to safety measures instead of bringing it to Earth. ANd you guessed it, things go wrong.
How to train your dragon (2010)
Awesome trilogy. I didn't really like it or wasn't interested until a friend suggested I give it a try.
Evil Dead Rise (2023)
My first introduction into the Evil Dead Rise franchise. Didn't know it went all the way back to the early '80s. I don't know much about the old ones but this one's good.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves (2023)
It's a Medieval fantasy comedy film. It has a nice plot, I like the characters, and the goofiness of it.
Your Highness (2011)
Another Medieval fantasy comedy movie but this one's not family friendly. Insanely goofy nonetheless.
Constantine (2005)
Yes, it's Keanu Reeves.
Fight Club (1999)
A friend made me watched it, we and several others watched it at night over a discord call. Maybe watching it with people made it more funny but there's something profound and meaningful about this movie that I just can't find the right words for.
Day Shift (2022)
It's about a vampire hunter. We got our boi from Django unchained here. I really didn't recognize him in the amazing spider-man 2 till he reappeared in 'no way home'.
Ready or Not (2019)
A new bride is welcomed with an unexpected tradition. It's horror. I wanna watch it again on a cold rainy night.
A Quiet Place (2018)
I love apocalyptic worlds and stories. Anything zombie, anything that brings a world to ruin. People struggling to survive, enduring. There's some sort of beauty in that.
Nightcrawler (2014)
It's about a guy (who's really a villain) trying and doing absolutely whatever he can to get what he wants no matter what. Might even call him the epitome of tenacity.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010)
I remember playing the games as a kid. Sands of time, Warrior within, The Two thrones. The movie doesn' exactly follow the same plot as the games but it has its own unique story and I loved it. Jake Gyllenhaal played the role perfectly.
Bird Box (2018)
A beautiful gateway to Lovecraftian horror.
Goosebumps (2015)
As a kid me and my siblings would watch this show called "Goosebumps" which first aired around 1995 to 1998. Not many people seem to know about it though the books are more popular. This movie, however, is very different from those horror short stories. One of the characters within the movie is the writer of Goosebumps himself (played by Jack Black).
A Series of Unfortunate Events (2017)
I honestly don't know what genre this is. It's very unique and unlike anything else i've watched or read about. It's very apocalyptic but not really? The story revolves around three siblings whose parents died in a fire. They're incredibly skilled and knowledgeable. The plot progresses with one insanely evil dude doing whatever he can to steal their inheritance.
House (2004)
It's not exactly plot driven. House treats patient in unorthodox ways and that's the show's entire premise. Somewhat enjoyable but I lost interest after a few seasons.
